SUMMARY: Jesus was taken before Pilate who could find no evidence of any crime that Jesus had committed. He weakly tried to release Him and then, to gratify the crowd, delivered Jesus to be crucified. Jesus was mocked and struck before being led to Golgotha where they crucified Him. On the cross, their taunts continued. Jesus only cried out to the Father and then died.
